Bare Biology became the founder-led business, highly rated and recommended by UK nutritionists as the outcome of Melanie Lawson’s experience with postnatal depression. Through research as a conscious consumer seeking answers to her own health concerns and the transformative experience she gained using omega-3, Melanie created the supplement company she wanted to see in the world. One that was radically honest, committed to quality and sustainability, with product offerings as natural as mother nature had intended.
Bare Biology has quickly scaled from indie sensation in the UK to a household name. Stocked in every major retailer (Boots, Harrods, Selfridges, Planet Organic, Whole Foods, JBC and more) and having recently undergone a redesign of their packaging to elevate their look. Bare was on track to have a visually memorable stand-out brand, but their website experience was seriously stunting their owned-revenue growth.

Our priority at Arq was to upgrade Bare Biology’s site to the newly released Shopify online store 2.0, and also migrate to a premium theme that would be easily extensible and manageable. Upgrading the theme base provided the marketing team the autonomy and confidence to build high converting SEO landing pages. Recognizing the potential of Bare Biology’s digestible and science backed blog articles, we developed these pages for mid-funnel marketing initiatives. Implementing dynamic shoppable images to pair with bite-sized educational content drives the efforts of establishing the brand as a leading expert in their field with the intention to turn information gathering visitors into first time customers.
We renewed life into Bare Biology’s product detail page with updated lead product images and feature graphics to emphasize lifestyle benefits and sustainability efforts. Showcasing their hero product in its plastic free travel friendly pouches in an aesthetically organic setting, is the visualization power convincing low funnel users to hit “add to cart.” We also introduced targeted cross sells below the key description area, rounding out the personalized supplement routine for daily flourishment.
